This four-part workshop series will give you tools to easily integrate into your own feedback frameworks and leadership style. Your real-world practice during and between workshops will make these frameworks more authentic and more impactful for growth.

During each session, you will:

  • Explore and immediately practice strategies with other leaders using real-world scenarios. You’ll then reflect during the following session on your experience applying them with your colleagues.

  • Deepen your understanding and awareness of your leadership style and how it impacts your communications and feedback. You’ll then practice using that awareness to tailor your communication and feedback approaches to staff.

  • Build relationships and connections with peers across metro Denver. You’ll be able to tap into these amazing resources in the future.

This experience will help you dive deeper into, and more effectively practice, the adaptive and technical strategies offered in CDE's new Evaluator Training. Our facilitators will also share additional resources regarding: developing and growing your own leadership and that of your staff; effective and values-based communication; emotional intelligence; and cultures of feedback.

Anticipated session topics:

  • Session 1: You’ll be introduced to workshop materials, resources, norms and other participants. This session sets the stage for practicing conversations and feedback using real world scenarios, to build a working community for our time together.

  • Session 2: You’ll examine: how to best support your staff in their professional growth; where you and your staff are on the development continuum; ways of customizing your communication and feedback; your ability to be vulnerable.

  • Session 3: You’ll practice and refresh yourself on a number of critical communication and feedback strategies to hold productive conversations.

  • Session 4: You’ll learn and understand the components of fostering a culture of feedback, such as: psychological safety; creating environments where teachers depend on each other for feedback; modeling feedback from others within your own leadership practice.

You should plan to attend all four sessions since they build on each other. Two sessions will be in person in Denver and two sessions will be online.

Fee: $80

"It's an incredible gift to have a such a talented team of professionals who understand the nuances of schools and districts. To have a team who can listen to your pain points and challenges, identify a process, then gather feedback and compile it – wow – that significantly speeds up problem-solving and gets us to solutions fast."—Karen Quanbeck, Clear Creek School District
